Independent Podcasters Day have announced the first wave of media partners to back the inaugural celebration of independent, audio-first creators happening this July 4th.
The event’s confirmed official media partners represent the most respected outlets and platforms in the industry, who all go the extra mile to support independent creators: Podnews, EarBuds, Ear Worthy, TrueFans, Eurowaves, and the Independent Podcast Awards.
Over the next month, culminating on July 4th, individuals can pledge their support to independent podcasts via independentpodcastersday.com, which will also feature giveaways and showcase creator stories through case studies and the hashtag #IndiePodDay.
Everyone is encouraged to get involved and help us celebrate the grafters, the side-hustlers, and the incredible over-achievers who made our industry what it is today.
Independent Podcasters Day is created by Orbit, the sister network of Mercury, which launched in 2025 to represent the world’s best indie shows and creators. Orbit is a platform that levels the playing field by giving every podcaster access to an enterprise level hosting platform, ad marketplace, network-level promotion and a best-in-class community from just £10 ($12) monthly.
